OUR WORK/AI-ENGINE
INFRA ENGINEERINGDecision support for route design: all project data, risks and route alternatives in one environment, so engineers arrive at a buildable route faster.
From complex data to a buildable routeDesigning an underground route brings everything together: existing cables and pipelines, soil conditions, ownership, permits and environmental risks. That information lives in separate systems, map layers and the heads of colleagues.
As a result, engineers spent more time searching and combining than on the design itself. And because every trade-off was made manually, a decision was hard to reconstruct afterwards and to substantiate towards the client and stakeholders.
We analysed how a route comes about today: which sources are consulted, where time leaks away and at which moments decisions stall.
Land registry (Kadaster), subsurface, grid data and project information have been unlocked and linked, so every route is assessed on current and complete data.
In short cycles we built the application together with the team — tested against real projects every week, until the engine demonstrably sped up the work.
AI-Engine brings all relevant data together on the map, calculates route alternatives and tracks which actions and risks are open for each route section.
Projects, route sections, actions and risks are linked, so one click gives the full picture.
The engine calculates route alternatives and weighs them on buildability, length and risk.
Obstacles, soil risks and permit issues appear while sketching — not afterwards.
Every trade-off is recorded and traceable, from first sketch to final route choice.
From request to preferred route in days instead of weeks, because data and trade-offs are ready to go.
Every route choice is substantiated with the trade-off matrix and traceable to the underlying data.
What used to live in heads and loose files is now recorded in the system — transferable to any project team.
“Engineers are designing again — the engine does the searching.”
