THE CHALLENGE

Every project starts
with the nitrogen question.

For a road construction contractor, nitrogen determines whether a project can go ahead, and under which conditions. But the answer always came from outside: every variant meant a new specialist AERIUS calculation by an external consultancy — with a lead time of days to weeks.

As a result, nitrogen insight arrived late in work preparation. The effect of cleaner equipment, fewer operating hours or a different phasing remained guesswork, and permit risks only became visible once the plan was already fixed.

    Equipment is chosen from recognisable types — excavator, roller, paver — with pre-filled parameters for power, operating hours, load factor and Stage class. Adjustable per machine.

    Every result is traceable to source, phase and site, and the report is structured so that the outcome can be verified with an official AERIUS calculation.

The StikstofPlanner calculates according to the AERIUS AUB method: NOx emissions based on engine power, operating hours, load factor and emission category. The result is immediately visible on the map — per Natura 2000 site within 25 kilometres.
